However, these are temporary problems and it goes off within a few days. You should avoid certain foods if the surgeon used an incision for chin implant. You should also avoid vigorous chewing. Application of cold or ice packs is effective for recovering from pain. You should use salves, ointments, mouth rinses or pain medications as per the advice of your surgeon. Use a thermometer for detecting fever. You may experience high fever, shifting of implant, sudden puffiness, pus or milky discharge, prolonged and severe bleeding, abnormal pain, etc., after the implant.
