Nebraska’s heritage is celebrated every June as Nebraskaland Days in North Platte. Numerous parades, food events, rodeos and a microbrew festival are held for twelve days, attracting more than 100,000 people to the city. Arbor Day is commemorated every last Friday of April to promote tree planting in Nebraska and the whole country. Activities include a parade and a trail run stretching five kilometers in Nebraska City. A prominent element of Nebraska travel, Husker Harvest Days exhibits the irrigation of all field crops and plots in Grand Island. This three-day event is held in September and includes participants from more than 20 American states.
