The hottest months in Grenada run from June through August and November to February being the ‘winter’ months. Grenada’s seasons are measured in the total amount of rainful rather than temperature. The dry season, from January to May receives few and sporadic rainfall, while the wet season from June to December receives thunderstorms and heavy to very heavy rainfall.But it’s not as bad as it sounds. Grenada Invasion – History of Grenada

Operation Urgent Fury, a codename of the 1983 invasion of Grenada by American forces was an attempt to end the revolutionary movement by the Grenadian government. Initially though Grenada has gained independence from United Kingdom in 1974, the invasion was successful and led to a change of the government. However, this Grenada invasion was pretty controversial because of the Cold War, the American imperialism charges, Cuba’s involvment and because of the Commonwealth. October 25 called Thanksgiving Day, is a national holiday in Grenada, to commemorate this event.
